Dakar Rally: Stage 6

With the first 78 riders having crossed the finish line of today’s stage in the Telefonica Dakar Rally, KTM’s Alfie Cox set the fastest time in two hours, 27 minutes and 54 seconds, over a minute ahead of KTM-mounted Juan Roma. Cyril Despres ended the day third with Fabrizio Meoni fourth and Richard Sainct fifth.

Sainct, however, maintains his overall lead in the rally, 17 seconds ahead of Roma and Meoni, the pair tied for second. Cox’s win today moves him to fourth in the overall standings.
