After just missing out on last year’s AMA National Hare & Hound Championship, Destry Abbott seems to be out for revenge this year. The Kawasaki Team Green rider was victorious again yesterday in Lucerne Valley, California, taking his third win of the four-race-old circuit. Yamaha four-stroke rider Ty Davis was second overall, followed by defending champion Brian Brown of Team Green. Fourth and fifth went to Kawasaki rider Dave Ondas and Yamaha pilot Russell Pearson, respectively.
Abbott leads the points standings over Davis by 11 points, 108-97.
