Atherton to Attend Autograph Session/Fundraiser

Injured dirt-tracker Kevin Atherton will be signing autographs at Stone’s Harley-Davidson in Marion, Indiana, on April 2, from 1-4 p.m.

The session will be part of a fundraiser to relieve the tremendous medical bills that Atherton has incurred since his crash at the Du Quoin Mile. Atherton is preparing for a 10th surgery on his right leg, which was nearly lost in the multi-rider crash that claimed the life of three-time AMA Grand National main event winner Davey Camlin. Atherton’s progress has been slow, but sure.

“We’re going to talk with the doctors some more before doing the next surgery,” Atherton said. “Everything’s going good, but there are a lot of holes in the bone right now from where the halos were pinned to it, and the worst thing that could happen is for me to get a staph infection, so we just have to see how those holes are healing up before we go in and do anything.”

Stone’s Harley-Davidson is located at the Intersection of Interstate 69 and State Route 18 in Marion, Indiana. The phone number is 765/664-1532.
