Aprilia is an Italian motorcycle company with roots deep in performance and world-class racing. As a part of the Piaggio Group since 2004, Aprilia has broadened their racing activities and elevated the performance of its motorcycle line worldwide. The Italian brand has 294 MotoGP race wins—the most of any western motorcycle manufacturer and 54 World Titles. Since 2009, Aprilia’s marquee racing effort has been in the World Superbike competition with the Aprilia RSV4 machine. This effort has secured seven world titles from 2010 to 2014.
Aprilia manufactures a wide range of motorcycles focused on sport riding and advanced technology with an obvious Italian design quality and style to make them unmistakable on the road.
Headlining the lineup is the RSV4 series of open-class sportbikes. The RSV4 is built around a high-performance narrow 65-degree V-4 cylinder engine. Following closely is the Tuono line of Sport Naked or Naked Sport Bikes, depending on your preference. Here, the V-4 increases in displacement to 1077 cc’s with more torque for the less competitive, but highly aggressive ride the naked-bike rider enjoys. The model range continues with the touring-worthy Caponord 1200 and goes minimalistic in the Dorsoduro 750 Supermoto and Shiver 750 naked. Aprilia even puts high performance into the Scooter market with the SR Motard 50 available in North America and an SRV850—dubbed the most powerful scooter ever produced—available in other markets.
