Norton is expanding its motorcycle lineup into the lightweight urban category with the unveiling of the new 450 Urban at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. Offered in two versions, the new model brings the British manufacturer’s premium design approach and electronic technology to a smaller-capacity platform aimed at both newer riders and experienced motorcyclists seeking a more compact everyday machine.

Norton’s new 450 Urban is a futuristic look at commuting.

Power comes from a liquid-cooled, 454cc single-cylinder engine producing a claimed 47 horsepower at 8000 rpm and 33.2 lb-ft of torque at 6000 rpm. A six-speed transmission handles power delivery, with a quickshifter available. The engine and chassis package is designed to meet A2 licensing requirements, while the motorcycle has a target curb weight of less than 397 pounds and a 3.2-gallon fuel tank.

Both versions use an aluminum frame, a 43mm fully adjustable KYB inverted fork and a KYB rear monoshock with rebound and preload adjustment. Braking is supplied by ByBre, with a 320mm front disc and 240mm rear disc, supported by cornering ABS. Seventeen-inch cast wheels and road-focused tires complete the chassis package.

The two models share the same mechanical platform but feature different styling and equipment, with one version offering a more rugged appearance and additional weather protection.

Electronics include three riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, cruise control and customizable rider assistance settings. Other equipment includes keyless ignition, smartphone connectivity, heated grips, an eight-inch TFT touchscreen, USB-C charging, tire-pressure monitoring and LED lighting.

The 450 Urban represents another step in Norton’s wider Resurgence strategy, launched at EICMA 2025 following its acquisition by TVS Motor Company. The new model joins the Manx R, Manx, Atlas and Atlas GT in the manufacturer’s expanding range.

U.S. pricing, specifications and availability have yet to be announced.
