MV Agusta has entered Italy’s Composizione Negoziata della Crisi (CNC), a formal restructuring framework designed to help companies experiencing financial difficulties negotiate with creditors and establish a path toward recovery.
The move follows Italian manufacturer’s separation from KTM in 2025 and MV Agusta’s 100% reacquisition by Art of Mobility, controlled by the Sardarov family. MV Agusta states that the break with KTM caused a major transition due to their integration, and management is working to restore its operational, industrial, and financial balance.
The CNC process is not an insolvency or liquidation proceeding. Instead, it provides a structured environment in which MV Agusta can work with creditors, suppliers and potential investors under the guidance of independent professionals. The company can also seek protective measures to prevent creditors from taking enforcement action while negotiations continue. A hearing at the Varese court concerning those measures is scheduled for November 25.
Art of Mobility is discussing potential changes to MV Agusta’s ownership. The company has rejected some proposals, while others are under review. CFMOTO has been linked to a possible investment, but MV Agusta has not confirmed any details.
MV Agusta reported 2166 global retail registrations during the first half of 2026, a 3.4 percent increase year-on-year, but the company remains focused on restoring full operational continuity and securing its future. CN
