Ryan Nitzen | March 18, 2026

Cameron McAdoo announced he won’t be lining up for this weekend’s round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Birmingham, Alabama. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider suffered a crash during the heat race in Seattle which resulted in a fractured humerus. McAdoo still raced the main event and finished fifth later that night. He sits sixth in the 250SX West points standings with a season best finish of second at San Diego. He’ll miss this weekend’s round 10 which also serves as an East/West Showdown.

“My crash in Seattle in the heat race ended up being a little more than just a monkey bump and some bruises on my shoulder like I thought,” McAdoo said. “I got home and got some scans done and I ended up fracturing the top of my humerus. That being said, I was really determined to make all the races this year. The last four and a half weeks I’ve done everything in my power to get my shoulder back to full strength and to be able to race competitively. Unfortunately time wasn’t so much on my side and got together with Mitch [Payton] last night and made the decision that we weren’t just going to go out there and rotate laps. We want to race for the front when we go.”

The Pro Circuit Kawasaki team announced Nick Romano as a fill-in rider for the injured Drew Adams and is set to ride for the remaining rounds of the 2026 Supercross season. There is no word on McAdoo’s expected return or if the team plans to hire a fill-in for his spot but he did elaborate by saying this “is not a season-ending” injury.
