Chase Sexton To Miss Daytona Supercross

Ryan Nitzen | February 26, 2026

Big news out of the Monster Energy Kawasaki camp as team rider Chase Sexton is officially out for the upcoming 2026 Daytona Supercross. The team announced Sexton’s absence through social media, citing injuries to his hip and low back which happened during his preparation for the upcoming race. Sexton is currently fifth in the 450 Supercross point standings with a season-best finish of first at Anaheim 2, but missing a round almost certainly ends his championship hopes. The A2 victory marked Sexton’s only win and only podium of the year with his average finish being fifth. No word yet on the extent of his injuries nor a timeline of his return but Cycle News will continue to provide updates on this developing scenario.

Sexton currently sits fifth in the 450SX points but missing a race will certainly drop him down the ranks.
