New Formula One World Champion Lando Norris has reportedly been offered the opportunity to test a Tech3 KTM MotoGP machine by the team’s new owner, Guenther Steiner, highlighting the growing crossover interest between elite-level car and motorcycle racing.

The McLaren driver, known for his enthusiasm for motorcycles and regular appearances at MotoGP events, has previously spoken openly about his admiration for the sport and its riders and is close friends with Valentino Rossi. The proposed test would see Norris sample a current-spec Tech3 KTM, giving him firsthand experience of MotoGP machinery under controlled conditions.
Tech3 team management has not officially commented on the offer, but the idea aligns with MotoGP’s recent efforts to broaden its global audience by engaging personalities from other top-tier motorsports. KTM, in particular, has embraced high-profile collaborations and promotional opportunities across racing disciplines.
If completed, the test would place Norris among a small group of Formula One drivers to experience a modern MotoGP race bike. CN
