Every year, the MotoGP “silly season” gets longer and longer, but it at last seems we have close to the finalized grid for 2026.

Starting at the top, Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia are unsurprisingly both locked in at the factory Ducati squad.
The 2026 season will be make-or-break for Bagnaia after his so far dismal showing this season, with rumors circulating that 2025 rookie sensation and Marc Marquez protege Fermin Aldeguer is trying to grab Bagnaia’s seat for 2027 when the new 850cc regulations kick in.
At the factory Honda HRC Castrol team, both Luca Marini and Joan Mir have been retained, while over at Monster Energy Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo is confirmed and looks all but assured to be partnered once again by Alex Rins, despite his consistently low finishing positions in 2025, the Spaniard having never fully recovered from the terrible leg injuries suffered in 2023.
Red Bull KTM has Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder retained, the latter in a similar position to Bagnaia as he tries to keep his place safe from several potential suitors coming from Moto2.
Tech3 KTM will once again run Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales, both riders suffering various injuries during 2025, but both are now happy with their new non-factory team surroundings.
At Aprilia, current number one Jorge Martin will race for the team in 2026 after a nightmare start that’s seen him suffer three separate injuries, his season only starting to get going at the recent Czech MotoGP round. He will be partnered by one of the stars of 2025 so far in current teammate Marco Bezzecchi.
Trackhouse Aprilia will take another (probably their last) chance on Raul Fernandez for 2026, the former Moto2 star producing flashes of brilliance but so far unable to live up to his pre-MotoGP hype. His teammate will again be 2024 Moto2 World Champion Ai Ogura, the Japanese in his sophomore MotoGP season and with a definite point to prove after starting out strong in 2025 but fading as the season progressed.
VR46 Ducati has confirmed they will once again field Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli. Morbidelli’s seat was thought to be under threat by a play from Pedro Acosta if the Spaniard was able to get out of his KTM contract, but that came to naught.
At Gresini Ducati, Alex Marquez and Aldeguer are set to stay put, the former having his best season to date by holding second, albeit 175 points adrift of his brother, Marc, in the current standings.

Pramac Yamaha will host the MotoGP debut of one of the most anticipated rookies in recent memory as Toprak Razgatlioglu arrives from a career in WorldSBK that’s netted two (so far) World title wins for Yamaha and BMW.
Razgatlioglu will be partnered with Jack Miller; the Australian given a one-year stay of execution on his decade-long MotoGP career after being chosen over current teammate Miguel Oliveira.
Finally, LCR Honda has confirmed that Johann Zarco isn’t going anywhere for 2026 and will race on a factory-spec Honda RC213V. He will be partnered with Brazilian Moto2 star Diogo Moreira, replacing Somkiat Chantra, the Thai rider having not met expectations in his rookie MotoGP season.
