WorldSBK Race Two
Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) put in yet another front-running special at Balaton to extend his run of consecutive wins to nine. He has now won 15 races across the whole season.
In second place was the hard charging Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), who had to fight with his own team-mate, among others, to get into second place long before half race distance.
Early race leader and potential podium rider Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) crashed out lap seven, at T8, in a very fast fashion.
With the top two finally running their own private races out front, Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Ducati) eased out a small gap on his rival for the final podium place Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Ducati). This was Lowes’ first long race podium.
Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) had a clear gap to both the front and the rear in Race Two, and placed fifth.
Ryan Vickers lost his chance of a strong top six finish on his Motocorsa Ducati when he took a long lap penalty for course cutting without losing a second, and then almost losing the front as he entered the long lap penalty lane. He ran into the gravel and dropped down the order to 14th. He finally crashed out of contention on the final tour.
Sixth was eventually taken by the bimota of Alex Lowes, albeit 28 seconds behind Razgatlioglu’s total race time.
Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) was seventh, just over a second ahead of the second bimota of Axel Bassani.
Dominique Aegerter (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) was ninth and finally Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) tenth, having passed Tarran Mackenzie (MGM Bonovo Racing Ducati) near the end of the 21-lap race.
Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team), Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team), Andrea Iannone (Team Pata GoEleven Ducati) and Iker Lecuona (Honda HRC) all missed the final race due to injuries picked up on Saturday.
In the championship points, Razgatlioglu extended his lead, with a new total of 407. Bulega is second with 381 and Petrucci is ranked third, with 233.

WorldSSP Race Two
Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) has not quite had it all his own way so far in 2025 but he is is now showing the kind of form and fightback in races that even his closest rivals and four other fellow race winners cannot match in terms of repeating pace or consistency.
He won both races at Balaton, the second in a controlled fashion from the suddenly competitive Danish rider, Simon Jespersen (Ecosantagata Althea Racing Team Ducati).
He beat the determined Dane by almost two seconds after 18 laps of the tight and twisty circuit in Hungary.
He now has seven race win on his 2025 service record, and after a shaky couple of races in Most and Misano (despite a race win in the latter) he has won three of the last four, and four of the last six races.
The closest challenger to Manzi’s overall brilliance is still five-times 2025 race winner Can Öncü (Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing), but in Race Two he had his hands very full on the final few laps holding off the determined Oli Bayliss (PTR Triumph Factory Racing).
With a Race One front row start being translated into a Race Two second row start on Sunday, Bayliss grabbed the opportunities of starting among the leaders particularly well in Race Two.
He maybe just ran out of one more chance to pass the equally determined Öncü, and finished fourth. This was Oli’s career best and he really had podium pace for the first time since he joined the Triumph set-up this year.
Fifth was Valentin Debise (Renzi Corse Ducati), who closed up to the last potential podium place until the final couple of laps.
Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati) was sixth, the now potent Roberto Garcia (GMT94-Yamaha) seventh and Andorran rider Xavi Cardelus (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati) was eighth – over ten seconds back from Manzi’s win at the super-tight 4.075km Balaton Park circuit.
Mattia Casadei (Motozoo ME air racing MV Agusta) was ninth and the other rider on the Street triple RS765, while Tom Booth-Amos battled through a surprisingly tricky weekend to finish tenth.
In the championship, with four rounds and eight individual races left to go after the long summer break, Manzi has 294 points to Öncü’s 235. A differential of 59 points. Way more than two race wins. Masia moved into third place at Balaton, with 191 points and Booth-Amos is fourth with 188.

WorldWCR Race Two
Overnight rains almost blighted the start of the 1000th WorldSBK race celebrations before the Superpole Race at Balaton, and left a series of challenging tyre choices to be made by riders and teams.
Everything from intermediates to various slicks (and mixes of each) were chosen by the top riders.
On slicks front and back the 1000th WorldSBK race was won – eventually – by Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team).
A real dry line had developed through the race to let Razgatlioglu move through from third to the lead and extend it over the final few laps to take his second Balaton race win. He won from Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) and once more a lonely third place rider, Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati).
In such a treacherous race, with damp patches still around even at the end, fortunes waxed and waned on tyre choice as much as anything, with those on intermediates losing time eventually.
Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) placed fourth, from the lone Honda HRC machine of Xavi Vierge.
Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team), on an inter front and slick rear, had a clear sixth place to add to his 2025 points tally.
A Battle Of Britain race was going on behind the lead bimota, with Ryan Vickers (MotoCorsa Racing Ducati) heading off the challenge of new Ducati rider at this round, Tarran Mackenzie (MGM BONOVO Racing Ducati). Vickers was seventh and Mackenzie eighth.
Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) was ninth, scoring the final point in the short sprint race. Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) ended up tenth but (on intermediates front and back) championship challenger Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) placed 13th, scoring no points. Only 20 riders started after the big crash at the start of the Race One on Saturday.

WorldSSP Race One
Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) won the first ever Balaton WorldSSP race by a full 3.834 seconds, from the original front-runner in the 18-lap competition, Can Öncü (Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing). The rider closest to Manzi in the championship is Öncü, but he is now 50 points behind his rival with one race at Balaton and four more rounds to go in the season.
Top WorldSSP runner and front row starter after Superpole qualifying, Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati), was disqualified from Superpole (with too high a throttle opening limit, it seems) and had to start Race One from the back of the grid.
This freed up a place for Oli Bayliss (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) to take over the third place grid spot.
Bo Bendsneyder (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) went from pole to an eventual third in the race.
His team-mate Filippo Farioli (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) was fifth across the line but was awarded fourth place in the final results as Roberto Garcia (GMT94-Yamaha) barged him out of the way in one corner, causing him to nearly fall – leaving Farioli one place back in fifth for his transgression.
Simon Jespersen (Ecosantagata Althea Racing Team Ducati) had a strong ride to sixth, ten seconds down on the winner Manzi, while Masia recovered from his back row start to finish seventh.
Oli Bayliss, riding in sixth place for a time, lost two places late on in the race, and finished eighth.
Philipp Öttl (Feel Racing WorldSSP Team Ducati) and Xavi Cardelus (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati) completed the top ten in the first race.
Lucas Mahias (GMT94-Yamaha) crashed out early and Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph Factory Racing) also crashed out of the race. He is still third overall, but 87 points from Manzi.
One more race at Balaton remains, before the long rummer break begins.

WorldSBK Race One
The first ever WorldSBK race at Balaton lasted for two corners before a mid-pack collision – initially between Iker Lecuona, Danilo Petrucci and Andrea Iannone – caused eight riders to fall – and others to have to take sharp avoiding action. Iannone was finally pinged with a double long lap penalty for a lap one infringement.
A quick restart procedure was called and a 20-lap Race One was the final outcome.
On the restart there were only 20 starters, with Remy Gardner, Ryan Vickers and Lecuona all out. Lecuona had suffered a left wrist fracture and Gardner a suspected concussion.
In the real race, Razgatlioglu jumped into a one second lead after three laps, with Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) and Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) his closest chasers.
His lead was almost two seconds after four laps, and fully 2.662 seconds after five laps.
Sam Lowes crashed at T2 on lap seven, losing his almost certain podium finish.
Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) went into second place after Lowes’ fall.
Razgatlioglu turned up the pace once again on lap seven, with a new lap record of 1’39.732. He was still setting 1’39 laps on lap 12 and went on to win by 3.738 seconds, from Bulega, with a lonely third place going to Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati).
Locatelli was fourth, and an amazing forward push from a back of the grid start from Petrucci saw the Barni Spark Ducati competitor ride from 21st to sixth after 20 laps.
Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) could have taken a fifth place but for Petrucci’s pace on the final few laps.
Fully 24 seconds from the race winner, Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) was a lonely seventh, with Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC), Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) and Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) rounding out the top ten.
In his first Ducati ride Tarran Mackenzie (MGM BONOVO Racing Ducati) sat in 12th place for some time, before being passed by two riders and ending up 14th overall.

WorldWCR Race One
Maria Herrera (Klint Forward Racing Team) rode for all 11 laps of the first ever World Championship race at Balaton Park inside the leading group. A late injection of pace and she opened a small but significant gap to allow her to finish 1.395 seconds up on Chloe Jones (GR Motorsport).
The British rider won her personal duel with Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yamaha) to record her second podium in two rounds.
Roberta Ponziani (Klint Forward Racing Team) set a new lap record and track best on lap five, with a 1’53.338, and would eventually finish fourth in the race.
Sara Sanchez (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team) was the final rider in the leading quintet.
Pakita Ruiz (PR46+1 Racing Team) was sixth and seventh place was taken by Jessica Howden (Team Trasimeno).
Avalon Lewis (Carl Cox Motorsports), Lucie Boudesseul (GMT94-YAMAHA) and Astrid Madrigal (Italika Racing FIMLA) completed the top ten. Tayla Relph (TAYCO Motorsports) had an unfortunate fall at T5 on lap nine but did not suffer any significant injury.
Herrera’s race win extended her championship lead over Neila to 18 points, with one more race to go on Sunday at Balaton.

WorldSBK Superpole
Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) reasserted his pre-race dominance in WorldSBK by taking his fourth Superpole ‘win’ of the year, and the 22nd of his career.
A red flag near the end of the Superpole session brought action to a halt and made for a frantic last few minutes during the restart, in which Razgatlioglu was to finish 0.477 seconds up on fastest rider on Friday, Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati).
Razgatlioglu’s new track best is a 1’38.357. It is not a lap record, as such, as that record has to be set during a race.
The last rider on the front row for Race One will be Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha), making it three different brands in the top three places.
Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) improved on his Friday ranking to finish fourth in Superpole, with Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) and top Honda rider, Iker Lecuona (Honda HRC) joining him on the second row.
Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) and Andrea Iannone (Team Pata GoEleven Ducati) added two more Ducati irons to the front-running fire, before Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) and Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) completed the top ten.
Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) was the top bimota rider in 12th position, one place behind Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team). Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) took the lone Ninja to 14th place on the grid.

Friday WorldSBK
Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) continued his good 2025 season body of work with the fastest day one lap time at the all-new Balaton Park circuit in Hungary. His 1’39.528 best on his independent Ducati was 0.215 seconds faster than Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team).
The Turkish rider said that he had some brake issues – with the lever pushing back on his fingers on the handlebar – despite showing his usual extravagant hard-braking style into some of the many slow corners and chicanes around the flat and tight Balaton circuit.
Andrea Iannone (Team Pata GoEleven Ducati) was third fastest on Friday, albeit almost four tenths of a second from Razgatlioglu; over 0.6 seconds from Lowes.
At a circuit most of the top riders had ridden at before, albeit on their training bikes, this first day of full WorldSBK on full WorldSBK spec machines saw some upsets to the usual 2025 norms.
Iker Lecuona (Honda HRC) was fourth fastest, Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) placed fifth, with Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) rounding out day one in sixth place.
Declared fit to race after his big Donington crash, Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) was seventh. He was one place ahead of championship contender, Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati).
The top ten in Friday’s combined timesheets saw Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati) ninth and Ryan Vickers (MotoCorsa Racing Ducati) a strong tenth.

Friday WorldSSP
After a few difficult races for proven race winner Bo Bendsneyder (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) he reasserted his pace at the very tight and twisting Balaton Park circuit on the first day of WorldSSP action.
He topped both track sessions, in free practice and then in Superpole Qualifying, to earn the prime starting spot for the first of two WorldSSP races at this all-new Hungarian race venue.
Bendsneyder was fully 0.3 01 seconds ahead of the next closest rider, Can Öncü (Yamaha bLU cRU Evan Bros Racing). Third fastest qualifier, and just 0.023 seconds from Öncü, was another new and strong force in WorldSSP in 2025, Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati)
Just for a change the top Triumph rider was not Tom Booth-Amos (PTR Triumph Factory Racing), but his team-mate Oli Bayliss (PTR Triumph Factory Racing). The Aussie rider was in fourth place, just over half a second from the fastest single lap pace of Bendsneyder.
Filippo Farioli (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) was fifth overall, with championship leader Stefano Manzi (Ten Kate Racing Yamaha) sixth.
Mattia Casadei (Motozoo ME air racing MV Agusta), Xavi Cardelus (Orelac Racing VerdNatura Ducati), Roberto Garcia (GMT94-Yamaha) and Leonardo Taccini (Ecosantagata Althea Racing Team Ducati) completed the top ten as the first day of action at Balaton came to an end.
The top 16 riders in Superpole all qualified with one second of each other.

Friday WorldWCR
Beatriz Neila (Ampito Crescent Yamaha) set a clear fastest lap in Friday’s Superpole session to take the early advantage over her rivals at this all-new circuit in Hungary. This was her second Superpole win of the 2025 season, and her second in succession.
Maria Herrera (Klint Forward Racing Team) was second fastest but 0.340 seconds behind here fellow Spaniard Neila.
After a home podium score at Donington Park recently, Chloe Jones (GR Motorsport) was third at Balaton on day one, but 0.594 seconds from leader Neila.
Herrera’s team-mate, Roberta Ponziani (Klint Forward Racing Team, placed fourth on day one, leading up the second row of the grid for Race One on Saturday. Pakita Ruiz (PR46+1 Racing Team) and Sara Sanchez (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team) will join Ponziani on the second row.
France’s Lucie Boudesseul (GMT94-YAMAHA) placed seventh on Friday in Hungary, ahead of Kiwi Avalon Lewis (Carl Cox Motorsports), Natalia Rivera (Terra & Vita GRT Yamaha WorldWCR Team) and Jessica Howden (Team Trasimeno). Tayla Relph (TAYCO Motorsports) placed 11th.
