Bradley Ray (Raceways Yamaha), Scott Redding (Hager PBM Ducati) and Kyle Ryde (Nitrous Competitions OMG Racing Yamaha) shared the victories at round five of the 2025 British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch.

After Ray took race one on Saturday from Redding and Ryde, Redding, in his first meeting for Hager PBM Ducati after leaving the WorldSBK paddock midway through the season, claimed the second race win on Sunday morning, marking his first full-time BSB triumph since 2019.

Championship leader Ray initially led after passing Redding, Christian Iddon (AJN Steelstock Kawasaki), and Danny Kent (McAMS Racing Yamaha) into Paddock Hill Bend, while Ryde slipped back.

Kent moved to third, and Redding stalked Ray until a safety car appeared after Charlie Nesbitt’s (MasterMac Honda) crash at Hawthorns. Moments later, Ray suffered a high-speed fall at Westfield on lap nine, allowing Redding to take control and cross the line first. Ryde recovered to second, and Kent secured his first podium of the year in third.

Ryde responded in race three with his own breakthrough. Ray again led early, but Ryde quickly attacked, slotting into second at Druids. Kent and Iddon then pushed Redding back before he regained fourth at Hawthorns.

A crash by Lee Jackson (DAO Racing Honda) brought out the safety car; the restart saw Kent seize the lead from Ray, followed by Ryde. Andrew Irwin’s heavy fall at Sheene Curve ended Honda Racing UK’s difficult weekend.

On his British Superbike return, Scott Redding (4) leads current champion Kyle Ryde at Brands Hatch. He would go on to take the overall victory.

The front three—Kent, Ryde and Ray—traded moves repeatedly. On lap 12, Ryde passed Kent at Hawthorns, but Kent struck back at Paddock Hill Bend. A decisive overtake at Druids gave Ryde the advantage, and he held firm to secure the race win. Kent finished second, while Redding overtook Ray late to claim third and the Monster Energy King of Brands trophy.

Ray missed out on the podium again with fourth place, followed by Iddon in fifth, but Ray still leads the series on 222 points to Ryde’s 188 and Skinner’s 150. CN
