The 102nd running of the Loudon Classic took center stage at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, June 14, to draw an end to the Laconia Motorcycle Week. Despite early rain that cancelled the final qualifying session, Vision Wheel M4 Ecstar Suzuki’s Tyler Scott was unstoppable aboard his GSX-R750, converting his provisional pole into the race win and netting a very handy $60,000 winner’s check.

At lights out, Scott quickly surged into the lead and maintained control, though he faced relentless pressure from a competitive field. Yamaha riders Joseph LiMandri Jr and Jake Lewis kept the heat on through the opening laps, but Scott gradually broke away as he found his rhythm.
Scott, determined to avoid a repeat of last year’s late-race setback with backmarkers, kept his focus throughout the 20-lap feature, extending his advantage midrace to cross the line over 1.4 seconds ahead of LiMandri Jr. to earn his second Loudon Classic main event win in three years.
LiMandri Jr. took second and $37,000, while Lewis secured third for $26,000.
“I tried to make the break five times,” Scott told Road Racing World. “Joe—I grew up racing with him, he’s a really great rider—I knew I would have to do a lot to break away from him and Jake Lewis. I struggled with the track, even though the setup was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for any more from the team.”
Several support classes were run over the weekend.
MotoAmerica Twins Cup and Super Hooligans star Dominic Doyle (Yamaha MT-09 SP) took out the Streetfighter class and netted $25,000 ahead of Teagg Hobbs (Ducati Streetfighter V2 S and Gus Rodio (Ducati Streetfighter V2 S), who took purse prizes of $15,000 and $10,000, respectively.
Eli Block took out the Pro 500 Superbike class to take home $3000 ahead of Adam Muscaro ($2500) and Nathan Bettencourt ($1000), all three on Kawasaki Ninja 400 machinery.
Adam Guyer (Aprilia RS660) took out the Pro Thunderbikes class for a $3000 check from Jacob Crossman (Aprilia RS660, $2500) and Maverick Cyr (Triumph Daytona 675 R, $1000). CN
