Sam Guerin’s (BMW) midseason resurgence in the 2025 Canadian Superbike Championship continued Sunday with a second straight win at Atlantic Motorsport Park. After a close Saturday victory over current champion Ben Young (Honda), Guerin again emerged victorious after a battle among the front-runners in the GP Bikes Pro Superbike class.

The race saw early drama as Jordan Szoke (Kawasaki) and Alex Dumas (BMW) led off the line, while Guerin and David MacKay (Honda) surged forward. A crash by MacKay and shifting issues for Dumas thinned the lead group, leaving Szoke, Young and Guerin to battle. Young briefly took control but made a mistake late in the race, running wide in turn nine.
Guerin seized the opportunity, holding off Young’s final-corner lunge to win by nine-hundredths of a second. The back-to-back victories marked a career-best weekend for Guerin, narrowing his championship deficit to Young to 16 points.
“I didn’t think I’d be here to be honest. I’m starting to love this place!” Guerin said, with three of his four career wins now coming at AMP. “I thought Ben had me in the last corner, but I got a really good drive to the finish, so I’m happy!” CN
