Cameron Beaubier wasted no time making his mark at the MotoAmerica/Dunlop preseason test at Podium Club in Casa Grande, Arizona, February 22-23.

On Saturday, he finished third on his Tytlers Cycle Racing BMW M 1000 RR behind Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha’s Bobby Fong and Jake Gagne, but on Sunday, Beaubier turned up the pace, becoming the first rider to top a session over Fong with a 1:27.224 in session five, then improving to 1:27.048 in session six. Though Fong reclaimed the edge in session seven with a 1:26.461, Beaubier had the last word.
With 24 minutes left in the final session, Beaubier set a lap record of 1:26.390. Shortly after, both he and Fong crashed separately in turn one. Beaubier remounted and went even faster, lowering the record to 1:26.385, which stood as the best time of the test.

Fong’s 1:26.461 placed him second, while Gagne secured third with a 1:26.972. Sean Dylan Kelly finished fourth overall, with his best lap coming in session six.
In Stock 1000, Jayson Uribe led the way for OrangeCat Racing BMW, edging out teammate Andrew Lee. Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati’s Josh Herrin, preparing for another Daytona 200 attempt, posted a 1:30.404 in session six on his Ducati Panigale V2. His teammate Cameron Petersen sat out Sunday after aggravating a knee injury.

MP13 Racing’s Aiden Sneed topped Group B on his MV Agusta, just ahead of Celtic/Economy Lube+Tire/Warhorse Ducati’s Wristin Grigg. TAB Performance’s Kyle Ohnsorg was the only Mission King Of The Baggers rider on Sunday, finishing third overall.
Koch Racing’s Sean Ungvarsky and Romeo Chiavini rounded out the top five in Group B. CN
