Dust Moto has unveiled the new all-electric Hightail (known previously as Model_1), which delivers a claimed 42 hp, 44 lb-ft of motor torque, and 485 lb-ft of wheel torque, all in a svelte 220-pound package.
The electric dirt bike has a swappable 4.4kWh battery pack and a “whisper quiet drivetrain.” It has a claimed two hours of continuous riding, or approximately 35 miles ridden hard on a single charge. Top speed is listed at 75 mph.
Its compact design increases maneuverability, as its wheelbase (55.1 inches) is two inches shorter than an average 250cc bike. Seat height comes in at 35.4 inches. With a 55dB quiet (about the volume of a typical conversation voice) custom electric drivetrain, more riding locations become possible where noise is an issue.
The Hightail has a price tag of $10,950 and is now available for pre-order in the United States with a $100 refundable deposit, with initial deliveries set for late 2025.
