Cameron McAdoo Injury Update
Cycle News Staff | April 25, 2024
Following his crash at the Nashville Supercross, the then-current 250SX East Coast Points leader, Cameron McAdoo, updated fans on his condition in an Instagram post earlier this morning. McAdoo’s video cites a “broken scapula” and a “partial tear” in a shoulder muscle which will ultimately end his season. See the full video in the post below.
This is unfortunate news for McAdoo, who was leading the points up to the untimely crashes. Still, 2024 marks one of his best seasons to date as he held the red plate until round seven of the series. One win and four second place finishes highlight his accolades this year. He looks to be fully healed for the Pro Motocross Championship next month.
McAdoo’s quote from the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team’s press release on Saturday night read, “It is crazy how quickly things can change in this sport. I started the weekend off strong with a third overall qualifying spot. In my heat race I got caught behind some riders on the ground and then they red flagged it. After the restart I managed to pull off a sixth. The night quickly changed for me when Cameron and I got together in the rhythm section in the main, causing me to go down very hard on my side and then I was run over by a competitor. I slowly got up and managed to salvage some points, but had to get checked out to make sure I was good.”
