Another new ride this week is the 2023 Ducati Scrambler. The popular Scrambler now enters its newest generation with three models: Icon, Full Throttle and Nightshift. These three motorcycles offer a different styles but are united by a relaxed riding position and a low weight, offering riders a fun experience around town or on longer trips.
The new-gen Scrambler is completely redesigned but maintains a fun and easy to ride personality. Up front the headlight is now completely LED while the fuel tank offers an interchangeable cover. A 4.3-inch color TFT display adds touches of modernity to the cockpit too.
A new frame with a completely removable subframe reduces weight by 8.8 pounds. A redesigned swingarm, repositioned shock absorbers, and engine updates contribute to the overall weight reduction. The wheels are also completely redesigned with 18 and 17 inches respectively at the front and rear.
The engine itself is 5.5 pounds lighter and comes equipped with a more condensed clutch. The air-cooled two-valve twin-cylinder engine has a maximum power output of 73 horsepower. A new eight-disc clutch design allows it to be easier to operate while also reducing mass in the engine. A Ride By Wire throttle has been added as well as Ducati Traction Control, ABS, and two riding modes (Road and Wet). A quick shifter is another accessory for the Scrambler.
Scrambler Icon
The Icon version represents the Ducati Scrambler’s excellence, and a new design of the tank with interchangeable covers, makes it even easier to express one’s personality. In addition to the three standard colors (’62 Yellow, Thrilling Black and Ducati Red), a further six are available as accessory kits that include tank covers, front and rear mudguards, headlamp covers and wheel tags to complete the customization.
Icon features a revised handlebar that is lower and closer to the rider. The seat has been redesigned with a different, more tapered, streamlined shape as well as black under-seat side panels with Ducati Scrambler graphics. The Ducati Scrambler Icon will arrive to U.S. and Canadian dealers in Spring 2023. United States pricing for the Scrambler Icon will begin at $10,995.
Scrambler Full Throttle
The Full Throttle is the sportiest proposal in the Ducati Scrambler 2023 range, inspired by U.S. Flat Track competitions. The side number plates have the number 62 – 1962 was the debut year of the first Ducati Scrambler. The dedicated saddle and livery underline the sporty character of the Full Throttle in Red GP19 / Dark Stealth.
The equipment is completed by a shorter front mudguard, no rear mudguard, red tags on the alloy wheels, Termignoni silencer, LED indicators and a Quick Shift. From the variable section handlebar compared to the Icon version, even the riding position changes and becomes sportier. The Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle will arrive to U.S. and Canadian dealers in Spring 2023. United States pricing for the Full Throttle will begin at $12,195.
Scrambler Nighshift
The most elegant of the Scramblers is the Nightshift, with more classic details. Like Full Throttle, the Nightshift features side number plates, a sporty front mudguard no rear mudguard, and compact LED indicators.
The Nebula Blue color scheme and black spoked rims, now completely black is complemented by a flat-shaped, variable-section handlebar and bar-end mirrors in café racer style. The will begin at $12,195.
