Dry and dusty conditions and a pair of loops with six tests awaited the racers on day one. After all was said and done on Saturday, Maloney was the top rider, followed by Anthony Ferrante and Dave Fullmer. Just three minutes separated the three riders at the end of the day.

Soft rain on day two changed the dynamics of the race. Vision was a problem for them, as well as the slick dirt. Despite the different conditions, the top two results remained the same with Maloney and Ferrante going 1-2. Shane Siebenthall was third on the day.

Fullmer had a few crashes on the slippery terrain and backed down his pace a few notches, knowing he had already clinched spot on the U.S. ISDE Team, which will be heading to France later this year.
