Aerostich has updated its leather Transit 3 two-piece riding suit with improvements to the leather, a larger forearm pocket, and more.

The first-generation 2008 Transit suits used a breathable, waterproof Gore-Tex Pro Leather. The next iterations were made from a breathable, waterproof leather called Corium+ that included a seam-sealable membrane. The two-piece Transit suits have been revamped again and are now made with a 1.2mm perforated seam-sealed leather that is still waterproof and breathable, but it is now more supple.
The leather is also treated with a proprietary treatment to keep it from absorbing water. Other updates include a larger zippered pocket on the right forearm, waterproofed underarm vent zips, a fold-away reflective cover over the dual-slider back vent and near-full circumference (270º) pants-to-jacket zipper.
Here is the complete press release from Aerostich…
The fit, feel and supple comfort of leather riding gear with revolutionary technology: Fully waterproof and breathable all-weather leather riding gear. This next-generation Transit 3 jacket and pants offers all the functional details and features as the originals, but its 1.2mm perforated, waterproof, breathable, seam-sealed leather is now even more supple, comfortable and ready to ride. It’s still just as durable, and as tough, and as waterproof.
Key detail updates include a larger zippered pocket on the right forearm, waterproof underarm vent zips, a fold-away reflective cover over the dual-slider back vent and near-full circumference (270º) pant-to-jacket zipper.
The micro-perforated breathable leather contains a new proprietary treatment to keep it from absorbing water, so it never gets heavy during long wet rides, and always dries quickly. Micro-perforations across the leather ensures that during high activity skin moisture will evaporate right through. You ride dry and comfortable through rain, fog or misty conditions, and are noticeably cooler under a hot sun compared to wearing traditional leathers.
The suit contains a complete set of carefully fitted yet easily removable TF armor systems—elbow, shoulder, knee, hip and back pads—which provide superior impact energy absorption with less movement restriction.
