Segway Apex will debut at Las Vegas CES

If you’re heading to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas next week, keep an eye out for the new Segway Apex electric motorcycle.
This is the first full-electric motorcycle from the company better known for producing those electric two-wheelers mall cops zip around on, and they are bringing it out with a very healthy (but claimed) top speed of 125 mph and a 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds.
However, the video above doesn’t exactly make the Apex look like the most sporting machine. Indeed, the rider barely hits an apex in the time on the track, but hopefully that’s more down to rider skill than any machine deficiency.
Segway is now far more than just mall cop runabouts, with a range of electric scooters, and even go-karts and UTV/ATV machines. There’s no word from the Chinese-owned brand as to when or even if the Apex will make production, but expect more news following the conclusion of the CES in Las Vegas, which runs from January 7-10, 2020.
