Kailub Russell will not suit up for Saturday’s AMA Pro Motocross National at Budds Creek. The five-time GNCC champ got his first chance last weekend to race a national motocross while filling in for Broc Tickle on the Red Bull KTM team. The FMF KTM factory-backed off-road team racer injured his arm in the second moto at Unadilla after an impressive sixth-place finish in moto one.

“I fell in moto two at Unadilla and banged myself up,” Russell said. “My elbow and shoulder are bruised and sore, so I haven’t been able to ride all week. I’m disappointed for sure, but it’s important for me to be 100% in order to perform my best against these guys and get the results that I’m capable of.”
In the second moto at Unadilla, Russell ran into another rider which broke his rear brake and he would crash again later in the race.
Russell will now focus on his original job, and that’s defending his number-one plate in GNCC.
Russell will return to GNCC Racing on Sunday, Sept. 16 in Harpursville, New York, where he will battle for his sixth-straight title aboard his FMF KTM Factory Racing 350 XC-F.
