Larry Lawrence | October 12, 2017
In this week’s Throwback we go back to August of 1988 and a full house the British Grand Prix at Donington Park. The photo is of the 250cc Grand Prix race with Luca Cadalora leading the way on the Marlboro-Yamaha YZR250. Coming up in a close second is Dominique Sarron (No. 4 Rothmans-Honda France NSR250). Then a great battle for third between Sito Pons (No. 3) and Jacques Cornu (No. 9). Juan Garriga (No. 11), Jean-Philippe Ruggia (No. 17) and Reinhold Roth (No. 2) are also seen in the chase.
Cadalora took the victory that day over Sarron and Garriga. Pons went on that year to win the championship.
