Lewis Hamilton and MV Agusta unveil the very, very limited edition F4 LH44
Three-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton and MV Agusta have once again teamed up to create another special edition MV, this time it’s the new F4 LH44.
Limited to just 44 examples (Hamilton’s race number for Mercedes in Formula One), the F4 LH44 is basically an F4 RC, the production version of the bike Leon Camier races in the WorldSBK Championship, but with a bit of sugar and cream on top.
The most obvious of which is the candy apple red paint scheme and white frame, loads of carbon fiber, an Alcantara seat, blacked-out engine and a tinted screen.
But there is a bit more bite in the bark, with power boosted a strong seven hp over the standard F4 RC to 212hp, a new titanium exhaust with a single muffler like Leon’s bike, as well as new Öhlins NIX 30 TiN-coated forks and a Öhlins TTX36 shock on the rear.
“I am very excited to continue my partnership with MV Agusta,” said Hamilton. “I love working with Giovanni and the guys at MV Agusta, their passion for engineering and attention to detail produces stunning, original looking bikes. My projects with MV Agusta are a great way to combine my love of riding bikes with my interest in the creative design process so I am very much involved with the CRC design team throughout.
“I am particularly excited to introduce my new bike, the F4 LH44. It looks quite stunning and I had the pleasure of riding on track a few weeks ago in Italy, it feels great and combines the best of both worlds, a race bike for the road! There will be 44 bikes produced so I hope the lucky owners will love it as much as I do”
Want one? Well, it’ll cost you around a whopping €50,000 ($58,000), but seeing as there’s only 44 of them, they’re probably all gone, anyway.
