2017 Kansas City Arenacross Results – In Kansas City, Missouri, February 18, for round six of the Amsoil Arenacross Series, it came down to a tiebreaker to determine the overall winner, which ended up going to Jace Owen (TiLUBE/Jack Link’s/TUF Racing Honda). He and Gavin Faith (Team Babbitt’s/Monster Energy/Amsoil Kawasaki, presented by AP Design) tied on points after all was said in done, but Faith’s better finish in the final race of the night broke the tie and gave Owen his fifth overall victory of the season.

Owen and Faith went one-on-one in the RMATV/MC Head 2 Head Challenge, which offers a championship point to the winner. Owen came out on top, which would prove pivotal later in the evening.
Faith led from start to finish in the first of two main events, while Owens, Chris Blose (Rockstar Energy/OTSFF/Yamaha, in association with Cycle Trader and Rock River) and Matt Georke (Rockstar Energy/OTSFF/Yamaha) fought for position right behind the leader.
Blose managed to get around Owen but couldn’t quite get close enough to Faith to challenge the soon-to-be winner of the race. Blose had to settle for second, while Own took third, just ahead of Goerke.
Gared Steinke (Kawasaki) was third.

In the second and final race, Faith edged out Owen for the holeshot, and as they fought for positions, both Goerke and Blose slipped past the two, dropping Faith to third and Own to fourth.
Faith was pressuring Blose for second when the red flag came out for a fallen ride on the 12th lap. This meant the race had to be stopped and restarted, single file. This turn of events would benefit Owen most; he blasted off the restart and shot into second place and stayed there for the duration of the race.
Goerke held on for the win (his first of the year), with Owen taking second and Faith, who managed to get around Blose before it was all over, third.
Blose ended up having more troubles and took the checkered flag in seventh.
Owen was awarded the overall victory but failed to gain any points on his nearest rival, Faith, in the championship. Owen still leads Faith by 17 points. Goerke is third, nine points behind Faith.

Ryan Breece (Team Babbitt’s/GPF/Monster Energy Kawasaki/MMCR) ended up taking second after an impressive come-from-behind ride.
Yamaha rider Dylan Bolinger had a strong ride and finished out the night on the podium in third. CN
