Trey Canard Injury Update: The official word from the Red Bull KTM Team is that Trey Canard suffered a “minor rotator cuff tear” in his shoulder.
Trey Canard Injury Update
Canard suffered the injury when he crashed during practice/qualifying at the Anaheim Supercross, January 7. He re-aggravated the injury when he went down again in the evening program. He actually qualified for the main event but chose to not to start to prevent further injury.
Canard will not suit up for this week’s race in San Diego.
“The good news is that the tear is minor and doesn’t require any type of surgery,” Canard said. “It feels extremely sore right now because of the swelling and fluid that has built up around it but once the swelling goes down the doctor says I should be good to go.”
