2017 Grand Rapids Arenacross Results: For the second week in a row, Jace Owen (TiLUBE/Jack Link’s/TUF Racing Honda) swept the Amsoil Arenacross, this time at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, January 14. Like he did at the series opener the previous week, Owen won both 250AX main events. It wasn’t the perfect weekend for Own, however. He finished second to defending champ Gavin Faith (Team Babbitt’s/Monster Energy/AMSOIL Kawasaki) in the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Head 2 Head Challenge, which awards a championship point to the winner.

In the first main, Jacob Hayes was leading when he went down on lap 11, which gave the lead to Owen, who never looked back from that moment on.
In the second main, Owen and Faith battled it out for the early lead, which ended up going to Owen. Faith settled into second only to crash shortly thereafter, giving Owen some much-needed breathing room.
Owen went on to take the win and now leads the championship by 11 points over Matt Goerke, who was 4-3 on the night. Faith is third 19 points back of Owen.
In the Eastern Regional AX Lites class, Heath Harrison (Motosport/Quick Roofing/Super Charged Energy KTM) took his second win in a row over Justin Cooper and Isaac Teasdale.
Harrison leads Cooper by four points in the championship.
