Five-time motorcycle World Champion Jorge Lorenzo, the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team and Team Partner Monster Energy joined forces last month for a one-of-a-kind test of man and machine at the historic Silverstone circuit.
The encounter brought together two Champions from two different racing disciplines: MotoGP rider Jorge Lorenzo and the Formula One World Championship winning F1 W05 Hybrid from the 2014 season.
Only the fourth MotoGP World Champion in history to have been invited to try out a Formula One car, the 29-year-old Spaniard quickly adapted to the Silver Arrow and impressed the team’s engineers with his commitment and speed.
Jorge Lorenzo will attend this weekend’s Formula One grand finale in Abu Dhabi as a guest of Monster and the team.
