Livio Loi (pictured) took top spot after Free Practice 2 at the Qatar Moto3 Grand Prix, setting a new circuit record of 2:05.832 to lead rookie Joan Mir and Nicolo Bulegra.

Jorge Navarro was again fast from the start of the session with Niccolo Antonelli (Ongetta-Rivacold) behind him for much of the session, neither rider able to surpass the 2:06.456 benchmark set by Loi in FP1 in the opening stages.

The slipstream proved as critical as ever for riders hunting for a fast time, almost all teammates spending at least a handful of laps together to make the most of it, worth over half a second a lap.

Romano Fenati finished fourth from Francesco Bagnaia and South African, Brad Binder on the Red Bull Ajo KTM.
