TOOELE, UTAH, JUNE 27–Yamalube/Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha’s JD Beach bested tteammate Garrett Gerloff by .069 of a second to take pole position in Supersport at the sixth round of the MotoAmerica AMA/FIM NA Road Racing Championship at Miller Motorsports Park. Joining the Yamaha duo on the front row is Latus Motors Racing Triumph’s Bobby Fong.
In fourth was Wheels In Motion/Motorsport.com/Meen Yamaha’s Josh Herrin, ahead of M4 Suzuki/SportbikeTrackGear.com’s David Anthony. RoadRace Factory Yamaha’s Tomas Puerta completes the second row in sixth.
Tuned Racing Yamaha’s Corey Alexander was seventh, while Petersen’s teammate Puerta rebounded from crash earlier in the session to qualify eighth. Rounding out the top 10 was Veloce Racing MV Agusta’s Hayden Gillim and Kyle Wyman on his self-run Yamaha effort. Wyman is riding in spite of a bicycle training accident earlier this week, where he hit a deer and suffered large amounts of road rash.
In the Superstock 600 class it was Herrin’s teammate Joe Roberts remains undefeated in qualifying, earning his fourth pole of the season. Joining Roberts on the front row is Tuned Racing Yamaha’s Bryce Prince and HB Racing Yamaha’s Michael Gilbert.
Gage McAllister earned his second pole of the season, edging out Braedon Ortt in the final moments of the session. Hayden Schultz joins them on the front row.
