Irvine, CA (April 24, 2015) – Last month, X Games announced the first ever X Games Step Up qualifier event to be held in collaboration with the 2015 GEICO AMA EnduroCross Round 3 on May 1, 2015, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The open call has attracted an exciting list of riders from around the globe, including a female rider.
The qualifier will take place the evening before the Monster Energy Supercross finals and will be open to 30 riders, with the top 10 riders advancing to the evening show. The final top three athletes will be invited to compete at X Games Austin on Thursday, June 4, in front of the Texas State Capitol in downtown Austin.
The list of riders so far includes:
• Tom Parsons: The Floridian won the 2014 X Games Best Whip and now wants to earn an invite for Step Up.
• Tyler Bereman: One of the best freeriders in the world known for his sideways whips and unique style.
• Vicki Golden: The multi time X Games Women’s Moto X winner and Best Whip medalist.
• Massimo Bianconcini: A top Italian Freestyle rider that has won European Step Up contest.
• Jarryd McNeil: The Australian that has multiple medals in X Games Best Whip and Speed & Style.
• Wally Palmer: The “Wildman” from New Jersey that is an EnduroCross crowd favorite.
• Kevin Rookstool: The multi-talented rider that qualified for an EnduroCross main, Supercross night show and raced the GNCC during this year’s Daytona Bike Week.
• Alastair Sayer: A rider from Bostwana, a small country in Southern Africa that has made a name in Freestyle.
• Kris Foster: Another amazing freerider that has been featured in several popular videos.
• Jeff Griffin: The Bakersfield, California native that is a regular Freestyle show rider.
• Brian McCarty: A Southern California freestyler that has been making a name for himself.
• Mike Aranda: An off-road motorcycle racer and Real Estate agent from San Mateo, California that built his own Step Up jump to practice on.
“The X Games Step Up is always a great show and it will be awesome to see which of these riders can earn an invite to Austin.” said Eric Peronnard, the Motorcycle Sports Organizer for X Games.

To enter the Step Up qualifier, go to Endurocross.com. Click on the “entry form” tab and select the Las Vegas event to complete the event registration form. A fee is required to enter.
