This is a press release from GEICO AMA EnduroCross…
Irvine, CA (February 10, 2015) – The 2015 GEICO AMA EnduroCross schedule has been updated to confirm the X Games Enduro X competition will be included into the Championship series for both the Men’s Expert and Women’s classes. The final 2015 schedule also indicates a date change for the Sacramento round and elimination of Phoenix and Atlanta events from the series.
“We are excited to confirm that the X Games will again be part of the 2015 GEICO EnduroCross championship,” said Eric Peronnard, the Motorcycle Sports Organizer for X Games. “This will be our fifth year to include Enduro X in X Games, and the second year to visit Austin, which was a huge success last year.”
More information will be coming soon regarding the qualification process for the X Games event.
“We had some scheduling issues come up with a few of the buildings, and we were able to move the Sacramento event, but unfortunately had to drop the Phoenix and Atlanta events from the 2015 series,” said Mike Karsting, VP of events for TEN, the producers of EnduroCross. “In all, 2015 is going to be a great year for EnduroCross with nine rounds including the X Games and a great TV Package with CBS Sports Network to showcase the talented riders and extreme tracks of EnduroCross.”
The GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship will make a first ever visit to Daytona, Florida to kick off the 2015 series. The event will take place inside the Ocean Center on Friday, March 6, just a few miles down the road from the famed Speedway that will host the Monster Energy Supercross series the following night.
