Three-time World Speedway Champion Jason Crump will undergo surgery on a broken collarbone in the next few days, the Australian crashing in a Russian League match yesterday in Vladivostok.

Crump is hopeful of making the next round of the Grand Prix Series on July 28 in Croatia. He currently lies second in the title chase behind American Greg Hancock.

“My sponsors Red Bull have arranged the surgery and their specialist medical team will plate the collarbone,” said Crump. “I will miss meetings in Poland and Sweden this week, but I hope to be fit enough to ride in the next Grand Prix in Croatia in just over a week’s time.”
