Kopp Takes Season Finale

Latus Harley-Davidson/Screamin’ Eagle’s Joe Kopp won the final AMA Grand National dirt track of the season, the Washingtonian overcoming two red flags at the Heartland Park Topeka Half Mile.

It all came down to a five-lap dash after the final restart and it came down to a battle between Kopp and Moroney’s Harley-Davidson/Screamin’ Eagle’s Bryan Smith with Kopp coming out on top.

Grand National Champion Kenny Coolbeth finished third, topping Jethro Halbert for the last podium spot. Chris Carr Racing’s Chris Carr ended up fifth.
