Bonds Wins Lake Elsinore Grand Prix

| November 15, 2004

It was a Kawasaki Team Green sweep at this year’s Lake Elsinore Grand Prix. In yesterday’s Pro race, Kawasaki riders swept the top three positions, with Bobby Bonds taking the win, followed by National Hare & Hound Champion Destry Abbott and young motocrosser Ryan Villopoto.

Scott Meyers was the early leader, but like many riders in the race, was thwarted by a flat tire. Bonds took over the reigns and never looked back, opening up a big lead that would take him to the finish line in first place ahead of his Kawasaki teammates.

KTM’s Joey Lanza finished out the race in fourth, ahead of Steve Mertens, David Reese and Spud Walters.
