Demuth Update

The following is from Josh Demuth’s team…

During the Saturday Night 250cc Main Event Demuth crashed resulting in a broken leg. Doctors at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore performed surgery early Sunday morning to repair the damage. Josh will return home to Haslet, TX within a few days.

Demuth was off to another winning season on his Shogun Motorsports / Motion Cyclesports Factory Yamaha ride with 12 wins and the current points lead. Demuth’s record setting 33 win 2003 season was followed up with a 6th place finish at the U.S. Open in October in Las Vegas, NV.

Demuth is 24 years old, he is married and has two children. His wife Holly attended the race and was by his side during surgery, she will stay with him until he returns home to Texas.

Team Manager Jack Yost said, the entire team is hurting for Josh, he is a tough competitor and he will be back. Jack went on to say, Josh is true team player and an inspiration to younger riders.
