Woodford Wins Ohio GNCC

Kawasaki Team Green’s Chuck Woodford captured the overall win at the Wiseco Jack Penton Grand National Cross Country in Millfield, Ohio, yesterday. Woodford led most of the race but was pressured by teammate Fred Andrews towards the end. Despite one close call, Woodford hung on to capture his first win of the series. Andrews, seeking his second win, finished second overall.

Yamaha rider Barry Hawk extended his points lead over Jason Raines by finishing third. Raines ended up finishing out the race in 15th.

Finishing fourth overall was FMF Suzuki’s Steve Hatch, followed by Yamaha rider Nathan Kanney and KTM’s Mike Lafferty.

Defending champ Rodney Smith DNF’ed with chain problems, while his teammate Mike Kiedrowski also DNF’ed win engine problems.
