Lafferty Tops Ohio National Enduro

Lots of rain in southern Ohio made thing quite interesting for round five of the AMA/FMF National Enduro Series in Wellston, yesterday. When defending champ Mike Lafferty drops 76 points and still wins, you know it was a tough one. And it was. Only 12 riders made it to the final check of the day.
Lafferty rode a KTM 450EXC to victory, finishing 10 points ahead of the next-best rider Randy Hawkins, who is no slouch when it comes to nasty conditions either. Hawkins dropped 86 points, which was eight points better than the third-place finishing Robbie Jenks. Yamaha rider David Lykke ended up fourth with 106 points, and former National Enduro Champion Steve Hatch dropped 108 points on his Suzuki.
At the halfway point of the series, Lafferty, with three wins under his belt, heads the leaderboard with 133 points, followed by Hawkins with 107 and Jenks with 96. Lykke is fourth with 88, followed by Stephen Reed with 62.
