Local favorite and National number-three rider Brian Garrahan (pictured) won the Honda Classic at Hollister Hills SVRA outside of Hollister, California, yesterday on his Shift/Maxxis/FMF-sponsored KTM 250. It marked his second win in a row at the traditional kickoff to the AMA National Championship Hare Scrambles Series.

Defending series champ Fred Andrews took second overall on his Team Green/Pro Circuit/Moose-backed KX250 after a long duel with Montclair Yamaha/Pro Circuit/Moose YZ250 racer Russell Pearson. The fight went down to the last lap, with Pearson, co-winner of the Laughlin Hare Scrambles in Nevada the day before, tipping over to give Andrews the spot.

Jason Raines took fourth overall on his YZ250, while Patrick Garrahan rounded out the top five on his KTM 250.
