Sheldon Wins Crossover Challenge

The Crossover Challenge ended just moments ago at Edison Field in Anaheim, California, with personal watercraft racer Victor Sheldon coming away with the victory in the race that brings together non-motorcycle racers in a supercross event.

It was none other than Cycle News advertising man Dano Legere who grabbed the holeshot in the race that was started by baseball star Ken Griffey Jr.

Legere was passed on the fifth lap by Sheldon and the two went back and forth for a lap before Sheldon finally settled into a pace that would take him to victory.

Legere ended up second, topping mountain bike racer Brian Lopes and Vanilla Ice at the finish – with baseball star Jim Edmonds waving the checkered.
