Antunez Clinches 5th Title

 Team Suzuki’s Buddy Antunez clinched his fifth National Arenacross title at the Arena in Oakland, in Oakland, California, March 9-10. Antunez went 8-2-1-6 over the weekend, leaving Oakland with 991 points, which put him over the top to lock up this year’s National Arenacross Championship.

The other big winner of the weekend was St. Louis Powersports/Kawasaki’s Pedro Gonzalez, who won both 250cc main events. He also finished third in Friday’s 125cc main and fifth in Saturday’s 125cc main. Gonzalez is currently third in points with 743.

The other Oakland winner was Suzuki-mounted Nick Metcalf who topped Friday’s 125cc main.

Jeff Willoh, second in points with 794, went 2-10-7-8 in Oakland.
