The following is from AMA Racing…

AMA Racing announced today that the 2007 AMA Ford Quality Checked Flat Track schedule has been revised adding events in West Liberty, Iowa (Aug 4), Tucson, Ariz. (Sept. 29), and Las Vegas, Nev. (Oct. 6) and removing events in Davenport, Iowa (June 16), Mineral Wells, W.V. (July 7), Sturgis, S.D. (Aug. 7), and Columbus, Ohio (Oct. 6).

This marks a return of the AMA Ford Quality Checked Flat Track Championship to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and inaugural visits to the tracks in West Liberty and Tucson. Each of the three new events will feature GNC Twins races.

“These three changes are interesting additions to the championship,” said AMA Flat Track Director Ken Saillant. “Along with concluding the championship in Las Vegas, we’re excited to bring more AMA flat track races out West, something our fans have been asking for.”

After a two month hiatus, the series resumes next week at the historical Springfield TT and Mile events from the Illinois State Fairgrounds on May 26 & 27. Mike Rush leads the GNC Singles Championship over reigning series champion Jake Johnson. Springfield’s TT will be the third GNC Singles event of the year after the Daytona Beach double-header kicked off the series in March. The Springfield Mile marks the beginning of the 2007 AMA GNC Twins Championship. Ken Coolbeth is the reigning champion in that series.
