Italy Still On Top

Italy continues its domination of Granada 2000 – the ISDE event that will conclude on November 5. The Italians again fared well on the fourth day of competition and they continue to lead Sweden by a healthy margin.

Spain currently holds down third in the trophy team competition with Australia fourth and France fifth. Team USA is 10th overall.

In Junior team competition, the Americans are 15th – with Spain leading Italy, Sweden, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Individually, TM rider Luca Trussardi had the best day of all the Americans on day four as he finished sixth in the 125cc class and now lies 12th overall in the tiddler division.

In the 250cc two-stroke division, Russ Pearson is leading the American contingent in 15th place with Jason Danhners, who finished seventh on day four, holding down 29th overall. Destry Abbott, meanwhile, is currently 19th overall in the 250cc two-stroke class.

KTM’s Brian Garrahan is currently 10th overall in the 400cc class after posting an 11th-place finish on day four. Randy Hawkins sits 20th overall in class with Paul Krause 35th.

In 500cc action, Patrick Garrahan is currently 17th overall after finishing 22nd in day-four competition.
