Team Montesa/HRC’s Dougie Lampkin was once again dominant at his home round of the World Championship Trials Series in Hawkstone Park, Great Britain, this weekend. The defending champ won both days, extending his lead in the series points standings.

Lampkin was followed home by a teammate on both days. On Saturday, Spaniard Marc Colomer was the runner-up, and Sunday saw Japanese rider Takahisa Fujinami finish second. Finishing third on day one was British Gas Gas rider Steve Colley; Spanish Sherco rider David Cobos was third yesterday.

Lampkin’s lead over Colomer in the points is already 40 (157-117), with six rounds of the 10-round series still to be run.
