With WorldSBK Superpole qualifying still to come on Saturday, the combined Friday Free Practice times for the tenth round at Cremona saw two factory Ducatis out front again, but this time around it was Iker Lecuona (Aruba.It Racing – Ducati) ahead of Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.It Racing – Ducati) – who fell twice on Friday.
Third fastest on day one was local rider Alberto Surra (Motocorsa Racing Ducati).
Another local bike, team and rider combination saw Lorenzo Baldassarri (Team GoEleven Ducati) fourth.
Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati) placed fifth across both the Friday sessions, with Friday faller Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team)
sixth.
Tommy Bridewell (Superbike Advocates Ducati) was seventh, making it an unmissable clean sweep of Ducati riders at the very top of the Friday times.
The first non-Panigale rider proved to be Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) in eighth place, with Miguel Oliveira (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) ninth and Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) tenth. Lowes did not set a time in the second session, after a crash, so had to rely on his morning time for his best single lap.

Friday WorldSSP
Mercurial talent Jeremy Alcoba (Kawasaki WorldSSP Team) had his best ever WorldSSP Superpole session at his soon-to-be ex-team’s home round, leading the field just a few days after finding out he would not be retained for the 2027 season.
The Spanish rider, with three podium finishes to his credit in the past two seasons, was 0.057 seconds ahead of championship leader, Albert Arenas (AS Racing Yamaha), and 0.171 seconds up on local star, Filippo Farioli (VFT Racing Team Yamaha).
Alcoba’s 1’31.259 was a new track best at the tight and twisty Cremona Circuit.
Jaume Masia (Orelac Racing Verdnatura) who will be a Kawasaki rider next season, was fourth in Superpole, with another Ducati rider, Alessandro Zaccone (Ecosantagata Althea Racing Team) fifth. Can Öncü (Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing) had a tricky opening day but ended up sixth, for a second row start to Race One.
Ondrej Vostatek (Compos Racing Triumph) was a confident seventh, with the normally more competitive Valentin Debise (ZXMOTO Factory Evan Bros Racing) in eighth place.
Tom Booth-Amos (Triumph Factory Racing) placed ninth on the grid, and Matteo Ferrari (WRP Racing Ducati) rounded out the pre-race top ten.

Friday WorldSBP
Carter Thompson (Team BrCorse Yamaha) secured pole position on day one of the Cremona race weekend, setting a new track best for the WorldSPB class with a 1’35.746 – beating his own previous best lap, set in FP1.
He was 0.229 seconds faster than David Salvador (ProDina Kawasaki), with Fenton Seabright (PHR Performance Triumph) third quickest.
Xavi Artigas (MTM Kawasaki) was fourth fastest in the dry and warm Superpole session, with Marco Gaggi (Team BrCorse Yamaha) fifth and Harrison Dessoy (PHR Performance Triumph) sixth.
Alvaro Fuertes (Deza-Box 77 Racing Team Kawasaki) was seventh, ahead of the second MTM Kawasaki rider, Loris Veneman.
Top Suzuki rider was Ferre Fleerackers (Track & Trades Wixx Racing Suzuki), while Jose Osuna (Deza-Box 77 Racing Team Kawasaki) rounded out the top ten – and was the first rider to finish more than a second from the leading pace of Thompson.
