Just like that Pro Motocross is back in action for round nine of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship. After a two week break the series resumes for Unadilla National in New Berlin, New York which is the first of the final three-race stretch to the title. It’s coming down to the wire in both the 250 and 450 divisions and we’re here to bring you all the action.

450 MOTO 1
Hunter Lawrence further extended his points lead with another win in the first 450 moto. The Honda HRC Progressive rider led all but one lap after overtaking Haiden Deegan for the top spot. Lawrence made it look easy as he gained another three points on his championship rivals with nearly a 10-second victory.
Jett Lawrence charged all the way to second after a crash on lap two. The second Honda rider came together with Deegan early on and high sided off the bike while dropping to sixth in the running order. Jett began clicking off fast laps and battled his way back around Deegan for third before cutting the deficit down on Jorge Prado with just two to go. Both of Lawrence’s key passes were made at the bottom of the “The Wall” as he set up both Deegan and Prado to move up in the ranks. Jett crossed the line in second but was nearly 10 seconds behind Hunter.
Prado held on for third in moto one. The Red Bull KTM rider ran up front and kept Hunter Lawrence in sight for nearly the whole race. A mid-moto duel with Deegan saw the Spanish rider overtake the spot before getting his hands full with the defending champ, Jett Lawrence. Prado put up a fight but eventually lost the spot and finished six seconds back.
Deegan led lap one but dropped back to fourth with Garrett Marchbanks hanging on for fifth. Marchbanks crashed hard during the first moto at Washougal but rebounded for fifth here at Unadilla.
450 MOTO 2
The second 450 moto was for all the marbles as Hunter, Jett, and Jorge Prado led the way on the opening lap. Hunter Lawrence again established himself as the front runner while Jett and Prado battled for the remaining podium spots. Prado’s pace and unrelenting pressure on Jett pushed both riders onto Hunter’s rear wheel.
Both Jett and Prado moved around Hunter for the top two spots where they’d remain for the rest of the laps. Hunter however, suffered a huge crash down The Wall while running in third and dropped way down in the running order. He tried to salvage any points with a bent-up bike and circulated outside the top-20. After dropping outside a points-paying position, Hunter pulled into the mechanics area and retired from the race. His 1-39 finishes put him ninth overall and see him lose the red plate in the process.
Jett Lawrence earned the overall win with 2-1 finishes and reclaims the points lead by 10 over his brother Hunter. With just two rounds remaining it looks like the momentum has firmly swung in Jett’s favor.
Jorge Prado finished second on the day in what might’ve been his best showing of the season. His pace in race two propelled him to the front as he duked it out with both of the Lawrence’s. A second in the second moto bumped him to second overall for the day.
Haiden Deegan landed on the podium in third overall. A quiet day for the Yamaha rider saw him bump up a spot once Hunter hit the deck, moving him to third. 4-3 scores put Deegan third overall.
Garrett Marchbanks finished fourth overall with a 5-4 day followed by RJ Hampshire’s 6-8 for fifth.

250 MOTO 1
Levi Kitchen dominated the opening moto of the day. After starting seventh, the 250 class points leader made quick work with smooth lines and found himself knocking on the door of the leaders. Kitchen slotted into third place and passed Chance Hymas for second, with another move one lap later on Cole Davies for the lead. Once up front, the Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider opened up a 10+ second advantage to show why he’s carrying the red plate. Note that Kitchen hadn’t led a lap since round three and this win earned him maximum points to start the day.
Cole Davies led six laps before finishing second in moto one. The Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha rider suffered a huge crash during this mornings’s qualifying session but didn’t let that hold him back as he took over the lead early in the race. Davies eventually fell victim to Kitchen on lap eight and gave up critical points in the standings.
Carson Mumford clawed his way to third at the line. The AEO Powersports KTM rider was fastest in the second qualifying session and ran a lonely third for most of the early race. Hymas eventually fell out of second which allowed both Davies and Mumford to move up in the running order. This matches Mumford’s best finish of the season and sets him up for a strong overall finish.
Hymas still finished fourth after falling with Ryder DiFrancesco rounding out the top five.
250 MOTO 2
Championship drama immediately began off the start of the second 250 moto as Levi Kitchen and Julien Beaumer were shot off the side of the track in turn one. This put both championship contenders in dead last as Cole Davies capitalized with the holeshot and early lead.
Davies took full advantage of the situation as he led every lap of the 35-minute race. After a big crash in the morning’s qualifying session, this is a huge rebound for the Star Racing Yamaha rider. He rode a flawless second moto and with it clinched the overall win thanks to 2-1 scores. He’s now just one point out of the championship lead.
Chance Hymas rode a strong race for second in moto two. His quiet ride earned him third overall after going 4-2 on the day.
Ryder DiFrancesco also ran another solid effort to finish third in moto two. 5-3 results put the Rockstar Husqvanra rider fifth overall .
Levi Kitchen rebounded from a dead last start to finish sixth at the line. He fought all the way to the end and made a number of good passes as he put himself in podium contention. The Kawasaki rider moved all the way to fifth but then lost the spot to Brodie Connolly in the final turn. Even with 1-6 scores, Kitchen still earned second overall and continues to lead the points by one over Davies.

450 QUALIFYING
Jett Lawrence dominated this race one year ago and he came out swinging with the fastest time in 450 qualifying. He needs a win to reclaim the points lead and his best lap was four-tenths quicker than anyone on track. Jett was fastest in both sessions over points leader Hunter Lawrence. Jorge Prado’s time held up for third overall ahead of Haiden Deegan and Jed Beaton.

250MX QUALIFYING
Points leader Levi Kitchen was the fastest qualifier in the 250MX division. The number-47 has a point to prove as he carries the red plate with just three rounds to go. He was seven-tenths quicker than second place. Carson Mumford continues his upward trend this season as he posted the fastest lap in Q2 which was good enough for second overall. Drew Adams was third overall after running up front for most of Q2. Julien Beaumer grabbed the fourth best time but was a full second off of Kitchen’s fast lap. Cole Davies suffered a huge hit late in the second session but still rounded out the top five overall.
