The 2026 running of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations is gearing up for this year’s event in Ernee, France. MXON is set to be another star-studded battle against the world’s best riders as they compete for the title in the “Olympics of Motocross”. Here’s a breakdown of this year’s lineup although some teams are still yet to confirm their rosters.
Team USA
Team USA announced this year’s lineup for the 2026 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations at the Pro Motocross finale just after the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha team pulled their consideration for this year’s event. Three-time 450SX Champ Cooper Webb now leads the trio alongside two newcomers in Levi Kitchen of Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki and HRC Progressive’s Chance Hymas. This is Webb’s fourth time racing for the team and he also competed in the 2015 event at Ernee, France – the same venue as this year’s race. Webb will race the Open class, Hymas in MXGP, and Kitchen in MX2.
“We have put together an outstanding team for this year’s FIM Motocross of Nations as we look to build on last year’s success,” Pelletier said. “Having the opportunity to serve as the manager for Team USA has been incredibly rewarding, and I can’t wait to stand beside Cooper, Levi and Chance as we take on the world. I know they are ecstatic to represent their country this October in France.”

Team Australia
The defending champs enter this year’s event with an entirely new lineup as neither Jett or Hunter Lawrence are competing n 2026. Team Australia finished second in the 2023 MXoN before scoring their first victory in 2024, and going back-to-back in 2025. This year’s team includes Jed Beaton in MXGP, Aaron Tanti in Open, and Alex Larwood in MX2. Michael Byrne is again the team manager. This is Beaton’s first time representing the team as he finished out the AMA Pro Motocross series after clinching the MX1 title in Australia.
“Although I live in America these days, I am an avid ProMX supporter and always tune into the FIM livestream to keep up with all the action,” Byrne said. “The quality of the racing has been spectacular in 2026, and I’ve been mightily impressed by the campaigns of all three MXoN riders. Their work rate has not only been first-class, but they’ve absorbed pressure, produced regular bouts of brilliance and shown plenty of grit and determination. It’s those traits that will be required when they step into the MXoN cauldron – which is like no other. We’ll leave no stone unturned to make our Aussie fans proud, and I look forward to coming together as a team to fine-tune our preparation before the big event.”

“I’m super honored to be selected to represent Australia in France this year,” said Beaton. “Ernee is a really nice track and it’s going to be good racing at a track I have competed at in the past – and really enjoyed. It’s going to be awesome to go out in the green and gold to give our very best for this great country we call home.”
Team Spain
Spain heads to this year’s event with a real shot of challenging for a podium position. All three riders, Jorge Prado, Ruben Fernandez, and Guillem Farres, are enjoying breakout seasons in both the US and MXGP championships. Prado recently won his first pair of motos at the Ironman National and is set to race his eighth MXoN. Farres continues to lead the points in the MX2 World Championship and is making his third appearance for Team Spain.
“We have Jorge, who needs no introduction,” said Paco Rico, the Spanish National Motocross team manager. “For me, he is the best Spanish rider of all time and he is currently in a very good moment of form, as he is showing in the United States; Guillem Farrés, the current MX2 leader, who has become the rider to beat in this category and will be a key part of our team; and Rubén Fernández, who is inside the MXGP top five and always fights like a warrior right through to the checkered flag in a race as special as the Motocross of Nations. I like to be cautious and respectful, as always, but I am sure that we are one of the five or six teams with the strongest line-ups at the moment. That is why we have to aim high and not put a ceiling on what we can achieve. Obviously, I would like to win. And I am clear that we have to approach this race with our sights set on the podium and on giving the Spanish fans something to celebrate. It would be the perfect way to round off the fantastic period Spanish motocross has been enjoying on the international stage over the past few years.”

Team Italy
Italy finished third at MXoN in 2023 and brings a youthful team to France this year with Andrea Adamo, Ferruccio Zanchi, and Andrea Bonacorsi. Adamo is racing his rookie season in the MXGP division but already has an MX2 title under his belt. Zanchi and Bonacorsi are two dark horses who could help put the Italians on the overall podium.

“We will go to France knowing that we have what it takes to make our mark, just as we did in 2023 with our third-place finish,” said Thomas Traversini, FMI Technical Commissioner. “The track suits our characteristics well, and the riders are already highly motivated and fired up. We are a great group, and I can guarantee that everyone will give their absolute maximum.”
Team Denmark
Denmark brings three capable riders to the table for this year’s Nations. Mikkel Haarup serves as team captain after his debut 450 season in America racing the Pro Motocross Championship. He’s joined by fellow Danish countrymen Mads Fredsøe and Nicolai Skovbjerg.

“I feel that we are coming with a strong team,” said National Team Coach, Thomas Kjer Olsen. “Mikkel, Nicolai and Mads all know what it takes to perform at the biggest race in the world, and all three are ready to give everything for Denmark. They have achieved strong results this season, and there has been clear progress from all three riders.”
Team Switzerland
The Swiss riders are back with three riders who are ready to put the red-and-white flag up front. Valentin Guillod was the first rider selected as he’ll race the MXGP division, with Kevin Brumann racing Open, and Jeremy Seewer competing in the MX2 category.

Team Great Britain
Great Britain confirmed their entry to Ernee with Taylor Hammal, Ben Mustoe and Ben Watson representing TeamGB at the 2026 Motocross of Nations. Hammal has been picked to race MXGP, Mustoe for MX2, and Watson completing the team in the Open category. This year’s selection reflects a different approach from TeamGB Manager Mark Chamberlain who put greater emphasis on giving opportunities to riders that have tested themselves in international competition and shown they can perform at that level.
“This year turned out to be tougher than I’d imagined when it came to choosing the team,” Chamberlain said. “We’ve encouraged riders to race MXGP and EMX to test themselves more in preparation for the Nations, and it was great to see so many tackle the British GP in particular. The 250 spot was especially difficult because we now have a group of riders at a very similar level. Ben Mustoe just edged the others with his GP rides and the way his performances improved each time out. There was very little between that group and they should all take confidence from the domestic and international seasons they’ve had.”

“It’s an absolute honour to be picked,” Hammal said. “Everyone knows how special this event is, so to be selected for TeamGB means a lot. I feel like my riding has stepped up this year and it’s great that Mark has recognised that. There’s always pressure at the Nations, but my approach will be the same as it has been all year. I’ll go out, ride the best I can and give it everything. The track and the time of year should suit me, so if all three of us can perform at our best, I think we can give a good account of ourselves as a team.”
Team Canada
Team Canada didn’t make the show last year but they bring speed and experience to be an A-main threat in 2026. Freshly-crowned Canadian champions Dylan Wright and Dylan Rempel join Sebastien Racine for this year’s team. Wright leads the team in the Open division and has raced in four different MXoN’s. Racine is set for MXGP and is racing his second Nations in two years. Rempel, the team’s MX2 pick, is competing in his first year with the team.
“I am very excited to have chosen the 2026 Team with a strong lineup of riders and 2 of them being newly-crowned 2026 Canadian Triple Crown Pro National Champions,” says Team Canada manager Kourtney Lloyd. “With Sebastien’s impressive showing last year at the event it was a no-brainer that he would be once again on the Team, this time in the prestigious 450 MXGP class. I want to thank the riders for once again trusting in me and I am ready to get this year going and represent Canada to the best of our abilities on the world stage.”

Add the fact that you are racing the best in the world and it’s a dream come true every time. Putting on the Nations colours and letting them fly will forever be something I am proud of doing. Looking back at the last time I was in Ernee, I know I am in a better spot now to put up the results I am capable of and get some redemption from last time! See you all there. Go Canada Go!”
Team Estonia
Estonia brings together three riders in Jörgen-Mathias Talviku, Harri Kullas, and Sebastian Leok. Talviku has filled in for Fantic’s factory team at several World Championship rounds this season, Kullas is fresh off a second-place finish in Canada, and Leok won a round in the German Masters. Estonia has a good history in Ernee, finishing fourth in 2015 and equalling their best result ever.
“Looking at this year, Harri, Jörgen and Sebastian are currently the fastest,” said Team Manager Martin Arumäe. “Sebastian has proved that he really is very fast on the 250. Harri has had a very good season in Canada, and Jörgen is still largely the fastest in the MXGP today. He’s standing in for Fantic’s factory rider Forato and has put in good performances both at Kegums and at the ADAC. I think we’ve got a good team. If we get off to good starts and nobody runs into any problems, we could end up with a really good result.”

“First and foremost, the intensity of the World Championship – I’ve experienced that even more this year, but of course I need to take with me the experience and maturity gained throughout the season, as well as from previous seasons,” said Talviku. “I like Ernée. When I think back on previous races, this track has generally suited me well. The team is brilliant and I believe we work well together as a unit. Sebastian is having a season of good progress and Harri has also been working really hard all summer on the other side of the pond. The aim is first and foremost to fight our way into the A final and, of course, to give it our all there. I don’t really have any specific advice to give Seb. Mentally, he’s already been trained quite thoroughly under Tanel´s guidance. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that this isn’t a one-man show – all the lads have to keep fighting right to the end.”
Team Latvia
Team Latvia has another strong lineup with Pauls Jonass joining the Reisulis brothers – Janis and Karlis Reisulis. Both brothers are having breakout seasons in MX2 with Jonass being a stronghold veteran aboard his Kawasaki. One of the brothers will step up to the 450 for this year’s race.
