Ian Hutchinson unveiled his updated race suit and gloves featuring D3O impact-protection technology at his debut with the RST Team at Oulton Park.

London, UK (May 6, 2026) — Road-racing legend Ian Hutchinson debuted the new TeamRST bike and D3O-protected race suit and gloves at Oulton Park this year.
Oulton Park was the first event for Ian Hutchinson as part of the newly formed RST Team, as well as the first public appearance of Hutchinson’s updated race suit, engineered to deliver elite-level protection and enhanced performance at the highest speeds in road racing.
Hutchinson is competing this season wearing RST Pro Series gloves featuring D3O palm padding, specifically designed to reduce vibration through the handlebars and improve rider feel and control. He is also wearing the RST V4.2 D3O Airbag Leather Suit, which integrates D3O’s latest impact protection technology to deliver maximum safety without compromising flexibility or comfort.
Following the NW200, Hutchinson will race in the same D3O-equipped suit at the Isle of Man TT, where all RST-sponsored riders will also compete wearing suits featuring D3O’s advanced protection technology.
The same V4.2 D3O Airbag suit worn by Hutchinson will be available for consumers to purchase at the TT, giving fans and riders access to the exact protection system trusted by elite competitors on the world’s most demanding circuits.
