The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team announced this morning that their rider, Cameron McAdoo will miss Rond one of the Pro Motocross Championship which kicks off this weekend at Fox Raceway in Pala, California. McAdoo crashed in the whoops at the Supercross finale in Salt Lake City and suffered a fracture in his hand, which prevents him from competing at the start of outdoors. No word yet on when he’ll return.

“I have been pretty quiet here the last couple weeks working to get myself back healthy after my crash in Salt Lake,” McAdoo posted online. “Unfortunately, I will not make the start of the Motocross series. I ended up with a small fracture in my hand, which was missed on the initial x-ray. After two weeks of therapy on a “sprained wrist” with little progress I went back in for more scans where they found that there was a fracture. I couldn’t be more bummed as I was very excited to make the start of outdoors this year after missing the last few years. I am doing everything in my power to get fully healthy and back out there ASAP.”

Here’s the crash that took out Hammaker (10) and McAdoo. McAdoo suffered a fractured hand in the process.

With McAdoo and Drew Adams out for the start of the series, Nick Romano remains on the team after initially being signed as a fill in rider during the Supercross season. Levi Kitchen and Seth Hammaker are the team’s other two riders.
