Haiden Deegan is set to make his 450cc racing debut at round one of the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX) in Buenos Aires City, Argentina on November 8. Deegan will race two rounds (Argentina and Australia) aboard the Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha YZ450F as he’ll be a wild card entry in the SX1 division. Deegan was already slated to race these two rounds of WSX but originally in the SX2 (250cc) class. This announcement means he’ll line up against heavy favorites like Eli Tomac, Cooper Webb, Ken Roczen, Jason Anderson and Justin Cooper for the very first time.

“I’m stoked to get out there and experience World Supercross on the 450,” said Deegan. “It’s a big step, but I’m really just looking forward to having some fun and meeting fans from around the world.”

“Haiden’s 450 debut is one of the most talked-about storylines in supercross,” said Tom Burwell, World Supercross CEO. “He’s got that rare mix of talent, attitude, and star power that transcends the sport. Having him make this step with World Supercross is massive for fans everywhere and a huge statement for the championship – this is a moment fans won’t forget.”
